Foreign car manufacturers, which were consistently TOP in sales until the events of February, continue to fall significantly. Thus, in January-September, Kia lost 64%, Hyundai – 62%, Toyota – 73%, Skoda – 77%. There are much better things for domestic automakers: they are also in the red, but their performance is still better than the market: LADA missed 54%, GAZ – 35% and UAZ – 25%.
But the Chinese feel relatively good. At Chery, the leader in the “heavenly” segment, sales fell by 15%, at Haval – by 20%, at Geely – by 14%. And some brands from China even managed to increase the number of cars sold. So Exeed added 280% and Changan – 4%. Obviously, the case is low in many ways, but still. It seems that our future is really in “Chinese hands”.
When we talk about models, according to the Association of European Businesses (AEB), the former leaders are still in the TOP-3. 54,929 people chose LADA Granta (against 90,986 in January-September 2021), Vesta found 26,668 buyers (82,860 in 2021) and Kia Rio – 23,872 (63,220 in 2021). Next come the LADA Niva family, Hyundai Solaris and Creta, LADA Largus, Renault Duster. And the top ten is closed by the “Chinese” – Haval Jolion and Chery Tiggo 7 Pro.
