What pleased the Russians with AVTOVAZ and upset the Chinese, the Ministry of Transport and dealers in spare parts: the results of the week

As AVTOVAZ slowly emerges from the crisis and Moskvich, which has been given a second life, prepares for its grand debut, Chinese automakers confidently continue to bolster their positions. Meanwhile, the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation is preparing an extremely unpleasant surprise for the Russians, which will lead to additional costs. And more about the most important news of the past few days – in the video summary of the AvtoVzglyad portal.

The first week of October will be remembered by motorized citizens for a lot of all kinds of government initiatives that will affect everyone to a greater or lesser extent. The authorities have approved changes to the traffic rules, the Interior Ministry has amended the rules for taking a driving test, deputies of the State Duma are seriously discussing the possibility of confiscating cars from those who decide to leave the country, and the Ministry of Transport has taken action on toll roads.

So the department decided to review the marginal cost of a kilometer and increase the rate from 3 rubles to 5 or 8, depending on which route we are talking about. And while the innovation won’t affect all highways, it will affect the most popular directions. However, there is hope that rates will remain at the same level. After all, the final decision – whether or not to increase the price – remains with the concessionaires.

And if the toll road operators feel sorry for the drivers, then you should not expect the same from the spare parts sellers. According to marketplace Wildberries, the demand for auto parts increased by 23%. Everything makes sense: since in the current situation Russians can not buy new cars, they repair old ones. And as the popularity of spare parts grows, it would be a shame not to take advantage of them and raise the prices even higher, although they have already added 35-65% in price.

And what about the cars? Recently, the Association of European Businesses (AEB) listed September’s results: the Russian new car market fell by almost 60%. The Chinese are doing the best – their share has reached an all-time high of 30%. And probably it will only grow – just as the lineups of brands from China are growing. So Haval opened orders for Great Wall Poer with MCP last week and Exeed is thinking about launching the latest AtlantiX.

Since the Koreans, the Europeans and the Japanese are “blown away”, only Russian brands will be able to resist the assertive Chinese. AVTOVAZ is already slowly preparing for this battle: it is actively solving component supply problems and increasing production volumes. By the end of the year, Moskvich will also join the fray, which is already looking for dealers to sell and service their mysterious electric trains.
