The welding of the first bodies is part of a large-scale commissioning process that will take several more months. The company is expected to be ready for mass production of the LADA Vesta next spring.
Of course, we are talking about an updated version of the model – Vesta NG. Recall that she was first on the conveyor belt just before the start of the military special operation, which is why the Izhevsk plant managed to produce only a thousand cars.
Representatives of AVTOVAZ explained the transfer of production from Vesta to Tolyatti due to the insufficient capacity of the site in Udmurt – they say that with such volumes the company will not be able to meet consumer demand. But the question arises: let’s say the problem is solved with the plant, but with the components? From what cars to assemble something in conditions of acute shortage?
However, there are still at least six months to go before Vesta reboots, meaning the domestic auto giant has time to look for new suppliers. And since he meets the need for details for the same Granta, as well as for Niva Legend and Niva Travel, he will surely find the best solution in the case of Vesta.
