At the international trade fair “Road 2022” in Kazan, a personal video recorder for police officers, coupled with a facial recognition system, was presented. Portal “AvtoVzglyad” provides details.

“We present a new version of a personal video recorder, used in the service of traffic police inspectors, employees of the Ministry of the Interior, which allows you to record all events in the service of an employee, both from the side of society and from the traffic police,” said Rusten Gubaidullin, a representative of the development company.

According to him, the video recorder, called “Dozor”, compares the images of people’s faces that fell into his field of vision with police databases. For example, this allows law enforcement to quickly discover that the person is wanted for him. According to Gubaidullin, it is quite possible to “make friends” with the new cameras with the bases of the traffic police. At the same time, the traffic police officer, communicating with the driver, can get full information about him: about his “rights”, traffic violations and other data. The latest police video recorder is currently being certified. The makers expect the implementation of the system to start next year, TASS reports.
