Fuel shortage at petrol stations sparked riots in France

While the rare crowd is entertained with Asian novelties and electric cars by the Paris Motor Show, the streets are seething with protesters against inflation and rising oil prices. Due to the lack of petrol at gas stations in some regions of the country, pedestrians caused riots.

Strikes by oil refinery workers could not be in vain. Huge queues formed at the gas station. In addition, they supported refinery workers and ordinary motorists dealing with a fuel shortage in the retail sector. According to western media, there is no petrol at every fourth “gas station”.

French Transport Minister Clement Bon hastened to reassure the population that everything is currently being done to remedy the country’s fuel crisis. Admittedly, according to him it will take a long time to rake in the consequences, the situation will not stabilize in the coming days. And according to independent experts, the situation will only get worse.
