European carmakers oppose electric vehicles and Chinese brands

Carlos Tavares, Stellantis boss with a portfolio of 14 car brands, was not shy about Chinese brands’ attacks on the European market and the ‘magic’ electric future of the global auto industry. In his opinion, it is time to calm the Asians down before it is too late, and not to screw the stories about electric cars into the minds of consumers.

Similar statements were made by Carlos Tavares at the Paris Motor Show, which was filled with electric vehicles of all kinds and especially Chinese brands. The top manager is sure that electric trains are far from the most ideal option for the development of the automotive industry of the future.

Moreover, electrification can only be fully lobbied if all preconditions are met. In fact, unfortunately there are none. Which, however, the Old World authorities probably know for themselves. Yes, only with the “greening” of Europe and the adoption of new environmental standards will clearly different goals be pursued. About the same as the capital project “Moskvich” and similar “Evolutes” under the control of our authorities. However, we leave the innuendo on this subject out of the brackets.

Among others, the head of Stellantis, in whose case there are many electric cars, by the way, also criticized the lack of protection of the European car market against the aggressive attack of Chinese comrades. Tavares believes it is necessary to introduce customs duties for the dumping of Asians, otherwise they will simply drive out local players. In addition, additional subsidies to European car manufacturers will be useful in order not to simply lose sales.

Meanwhile, in Russia too, there is a total market redistribution, where, in addition to the infamous electric vehicles, which hardly anyone needs, the Chinese car industry is forced on the consumer at high prices. However, there will always be AVTOVAZ for the majority of the population.
