The Ministry of Transport has announced when trucks are allowed to drive on the Krimbrug. Meanwhile, it will take at least a month to strengthen the stagnant half of the automotive portion of the structure, the AvtoVzglyad portal found.

– Freight transport on the car section of the Crimean Bridge will not open until December 1 this year, the press service of the Russian Ministry of Transport said, although previously Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian government Marat Khusnullin mentioned plans to start freight transport from mid-October. to put on the bridge. However, this has not happened.

Now truck drivers have three ways to travel from Crimea to the “mainland”: along an alternative land route through the Kherson region, through the Kerch ferry crossing, and the latter with transshipment to rail transport. At the moment, crossing the Kerch Strait by ferry along the “Port of the Caucasus – Port of Kerch” route can take several days – the “long distance” queues here are colossal.

In this regard, the authorities even had to make a priority cargo list. Cars carrying them go to the ferry and bypass the general queue. This measure will be in force until the normalization of transport links between Crimea and the Krasnodar Territory.
