The first signs of the new “heavenly” brand Skywell – the electric crossover ET5 – “flew” to us in a rather strange “route”. First, the Chinese announced Russian prices for the “green” novelty, then they opened the reception of pre-orders and held a “live” presentation only at the end of October. Now they have finally received the Vehicle Type Approval (OTTS), which means it’s time for full-fledged sales.
During the presentation of the ET5 crossover, Skywell representatives said that by the end of 2022 the brand would open about 20 dealers in Russia – contracts had already been signed by then, it remained only to brand the salons. Unfortunately, at the start of sales, they did not manage to complete the work on the preparation of the premises, and therefore for the time being you can only buy a car on the official website of the manufacturer.
But how do you get it? As the AvtoVzglyad portal was told in the PR service of the Russian division of Skywell, three cars in the maximum configuration are already waiting for buyers in the showroom of the brand in the capital – they can leave at any time. The second option is to book a crossover on the site and wait for a dealer to open: they should all start working before the end of December.
Recall that the Skywell ET5 has a 204 hp electric motor and a 72 kWh traction battery. The maximum range on one battery charge is 520 km.
Buyers are offered 2 configurations. For the Comfort version with LED optics, contactless access to the cabin, a rear view camera and parktronics in a circle, a digital “tidy”, a multimedia system with a 12.8-inch touch screen and other “goodies”, asks the distributor 4,480,000 rubles.
As for the Luxury version, which features laser headlights, adaptive cruise, lane keeping, traffic sign control, wireless smartphone charging, as well as a package of “car modes” intriguingly named “Picnic”, “Party” and “Relax”, there should be at least 4,980,000 rubles for being paid.
