Deptrans spoke about paid parking in Moscow during the New Year holidays

Traditionally, during the New Year holidays, a free mode is set in the paid parking lot, which is steadily spreading throughout the capital. The AvtoVzglyad portal found out what awaits Muscovites in this sense in the first days of 2023.

The Moscow Deptrans has issued a notice stating that from January 1 to January 7, 2023, drivers can park for free on all Moscow streets. And on January 8, parking lots operate according to Sunday rules: free everywhere, except on streets with rates of 380 and 450 rubles per hour. At the same time, parking spaces with barriers will continue to be paid at the existing rates, even on public holidays. The Deptrans message also states that the city is expected to reduce car traffic during the holiday period.

Earlier, the head of the Moscow Deptrans, Maxim Liksutov, boasted that paid parking in 2022 brought more than 8.6 billion rubles to the city budget. He claims that this money was spent on improving the city. So it can be assumed that the money from paid parking eventually went to the suppliers of paving stones, curbs and fast-drying rolled lawns in the capital.
