What will the traffic police do with “greyhound” drivers, car owners with OSAGO and the authorities with scarves: results of the week

0

The outgoing week was quite rich in various automotive events. The traffic police, who will have to teach their employees to communicate with drivers, and the deputies who proposed to increase the fine for driving without OSAGO, and analysts who calculated sales of new cars in November, and the Chinese with another portion of fresh cross- overs, were on the news agenda. And more about this and much more – in the video review of the portal “AvtoVzglyad”.

According to the Association of European Companies (AEB), Russians bought 46,403 new cars in November, which is 61.6% less than in the last autumn month of 2021. Almost half of the sales, namely 21,726 transactions, fell on LADA cars. The second line was taken by Haval, the third by GAZ, the fourth by Geely and the fifth by UAZ. The share of “Chinese” is already more than 30%. And there is every reason to believe that this figure will continue to grow.

Why? At least because the “heavenly” car manufacturers continue to bring us more and more new products. So this week, Changan launched sales of the CS55 Plus crossover and Geely – Coolray in the Link configuration. Its distinctive feature is the ability to control certain functions of the car from a smartphone. Meanwhile, Chery is preparing a new SUV for the premiere, which will most likely complement the model line of the Omoda sub-brand.

There were also several major “social” tidbits. For example, the state-owned company Avtodor has announced the completion date for the construction of the last section of the M11 Neva highway, the northern bypass of Tver. And the metropolitan Deptrans placed a tender for operators of electronic systems that could cope with Moscow’s high-speed diameter. The authorities are ready to allocate 36 million rubles to the company that will have time to install equipment for collecting road tolls before the New Year.

Pleased – or rather amused – by the news and the Ministry of the Interior. A manual has been published on the service’s website explaining how the traffic police should communicate with motorists in controversial situations. Which? For example, if a motorist is interested in the reason for the stop, films a conversation with an inspector or refuses to get out of the car. The advice in the document is really laughable.

And more about these and other significant events in the automotive life of the country in recent days – in the video summary of the AvtoVzglyad portal, which can be viewed here.
