Arrange a drunken accident, already deprived of “duties”, and get away with it? It is easy if the traffic police of the Moscow region takes on the masking
The plot, which became known to the AvtoVzglyad portal, began in the spring in Ruza, near Moscow. The main hero was the instructor of the local driving school Valery Petrov. On May 6, 2022, he practiced driving skills with another student on a working Hyundai Solaris. On Krasnaya Street in Ruza, the crew at the gas station decided to turn left – through the oncoming lane in the permitted place. Hardly starting the turn, the student stopped on the opposite side of the road. A fairly normal situation for a novice driver. But while the girl grasped the pedals and tried to start the engine, a five-door LADA Niva appeared on this “oncoming car”.
And the product of the domestic auto industry crashed into a training car frozen across the road, almost killing the instructor. Further, according to our hero, another local resident crawled out from behind the wheel of the Niva – a certain Zaryankin Nikolai. Mr. Petrov claims that the Niva pilot was unsteady on his feet and gave off a strong odor of alcohol. This fact did not surprise the car instructor, since he knew that Zaryankin had been stripped of all his “rights” for driving under the influence. Apparently, remembering this circumstance, the latter, without waiting for the arrival of the police, preferred to escape from the scene of the accident.
A little later, the inspectors of the local 15th battalion of the traffic police AV Rumyantsev and EV Pisarev reported the situation, and also shared his thoughts on the degree of sobriety of the escaped rescuer. And, apparently, in vain, because after that, the traffic police officers immediately, without drawing up a protocol, hurried away to look for Zaryankin.
Ruza near Moscow is a small town where almost everyone knows everyone. But the police returned to the scene of a traffic accident after a while with nothing. They found no opponent in the “megalopolis”, what a pity! However, the most surprising thing for Petrov began further. When the brave tandem Pisarev-Rumantsev declared that the instructor was not guilty of the accident and could therefore go in all four directions. In addition, they so skillfully “powdered” his brain that he did not even remind the military that it would still be necessary to prepare a report of the accident, albeit with the second participant who had fled the scene.
Only later Petrov realized that without this paper he would have to repair the broken car at his own expense. He immediately, unlike professional police officers, found his co-perpetrator and offered to pay for the emergency banquet he had organized. He refused. At the same time, he indirectly confirmed with hints the suspicions of instructor Petrov: the inspector of the traffic police did indeed find the drunk driver who had disappeared that day, but they did not draw up any papers for him. For some reason.
Any Russian driver will tell you: a traffic cop can let a drunk driver go home, especially one who has been deprived of all his “rights” to drinking, only for a decent amount of bribes. But when communicating with representatives of the Russian traffic police, we run away from the scene of an accident by the driver, as they say: “we did not hold a candle.” And there is no evidence of such an encounter. But what remains to think with such an “introductory”?
Moreover, in the official response to Valery Petrov’s complaint to the CSS of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Moscow region, there is a veiled but clear confirmation: their colleagues nevertheless found something bad in the affairs of inspectors Rumyantsev and Pisarev. We quote the text of that answer No. 3/227728537827 dated 11/23/22: “During the audit, violations of the requirements of the regulations for the activities of the State Traffic Inspectorate were found by the actions of inspectors AV Rumyantsev and EV Pisarev , in connection with which these employees have been brought under disciplinary responsibility.”
Disciplinary responsibility is great. But only this means that the guilty inspectors, apparently, continue to serve in the ranks of the brave 15th battalion of the traffic police of the 1st regiment of the traffic police of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the Moscow region. At the same time, having every opportunity to continue to let drunk drivers go as they see fit.
