“There is now a renewed demand in the market for our range of V8 engines, both for new buses and the aftermarket. We see a clear market need for this engine for the coming years,” said Ilnur Sakhabiev, director of the Zavolzhsky branch of UAZ LLC.
Recall that on December 29, 2021, the complete dissolution of the assembly line that produced the eight-cylinder ZMZ 523/524 was officially announced. And now decided to restore it. This 4.7-liter engine was first created in 1963. In the gasoline version of the ZMZ 523, it develops 124 horsepower. The engines of this series were delivered to the Pavlovsky bus plant of the GAZ Group for equipping the buses PAZ-3205 and PAZ-3203.
