Hyundai’s Koreans have run out of patience: they will no longer pay salaries to the Russian employees of their useless company near St. Petersburg. And those who do not want to leave by agreement of the parties will be fired, the AvtoVzglyad portal found out.

– Contract termination agreements will be signed from January 16 to February 3, 2023. The redundancies will take place between January 23 and February 17, 2023. If, as a result of these measures, the target indicator for staff reduction does not is reached, an order will be issued on February 20, 2023 to reduce the staff of XMMP LLC in accordance with the Labor Code of the Russian Federation, the text of the letter distributed to the company’s employees.

To explain this decision, the leadership of the Russian office refers to problems with the supply chains of components to the factory, which prevent the production process. In addition, the circular expresses the hope that one day the company’s work will be restored and workers will be needed again.

Reportedly, the terms of termination of employment contracts with the employees of the factory will be discussed separately. According to the AvtoVzglyad portal’s own information, as part of the dismissal by agreement of the parties, each employee will be offered a lump sum payment of three months’ salary.

Recall that during the relatively recent closure of the Toyota assembly plant in St. Petersburg, the company paid the laid-off employees 12 monthly salaries.
