In case of a positive test result, the regulatory framework can be adapted to allow the data from the new recognition technology to be taken into account when making administrative decisions. Reportedly, the use of a neural network will bring the number of unidentifiable, poorly readable and distorted license plates closer to zero. In the future, the neural network could be trained to recognize cars even with license plates removed – based on their distinguishing features: dimensions, scratches, plates, decals on the body and other marks.
