Used cars cheaper than 1,500,000 rubles account for 86.1% of total used vehicle sales, according to Avito Auto analysts. In addition, the average purchase check in 2022 was only 450,000 rubles. So, what models are Russians acquiring in the conditions of a permanent crisis?
The unsinkable LADA Priora became the absolute leader in sales in the segment up to 1.5 million rubles, biting off a share of 3.5% of total sales in this price category. Second place was secured by the no less eternal LADA 2114 Samara. The model took a 2.7 percent share of the segment. The top three – don’t be surprised – again took AVTOVAZ with LADA Granta, whose share is also approaching the 2.7% mark.
Where are foreign cars, you ask? Here it is – the bestseller among cars of foreign brands – Ford Focus, which has fully proven its reliability and unpretentiousness in operation. The American model of Russian production took the fourth position in the ranking of the best-selling cars under 1,500,000 rubles, taking its share of 2.4%. And then the Ladas follow again. The fifth line was shared by LADA 2107 and LADA Kalina with 2.2%.
The Korean sedan Hyundai Solaris only took sixth place in the chart with a score of 2.1%, while LADA Niva SUVs lag behind by 0.1%. The same number of domestic “all-terrain vehicles” gave no less than the Korean Kia Rio. The TOP of the most popular models among Russians with a price of up to 1,500,000 rubles is awarded by LADA 2110. Yes, these cars are still highly rated by our brother. And all because they are repaired by Uncle Vasya in every garage with the help of a “little white”, a hammer and a mighty Russian word.
