As expected, trucks are most often bought in the capital region, which accounts for 14.5% of total sales in Russia. However, heavy trucks are actively sold in the Krasnodar Territory (5.7%), Tatarstan (5.2%), the Chelyabinsk region (4.6%), as well as in St. Petersburg and its suburbs (4%).
KamAZ became the absolute sales leader in the truck segment with a share of 42%. The average price tag for the products of the Chelny plant is 7,900,000 rubles. According to Avito Auto analysts, the Chinese brand Shacman (Shaanxi) is the second most popular among Russians, and the Belarusian MAZ crowns the TOP-3. The models of the Russian GAZ and the Chinese Howo turned out to be slightly less popular.
In terms of used heavy trucks, KamAZ is recognized here as the most popular with a share of 23.7% of the total supply in the segment. On average, a “beushka” is traded for 1,300,000 rubles.
Among others, the domestic GAZ and ZIL, the Belarusian MAZ and the Korean Hyundai were among the most popular used trucks.
