In this regard, individual engines, especially Asian foreign cars, react quite sharply to changes in the viscosity characteristics of the lubricant used.

As an illustrative example, one can think of the Hyundai and Kia gasoline engines of the Gamma family with a capacity of 2 and 2.4 liters. Their pumps often start to have problems when pumping a more viscous lubricant with, for example, an index of 10W40. Our drivers often use it instead of the 5W30 index oil prescribed in the instructions. And at high speeds (say over 3000rpm) this can cause serious problems.

So, for a pair of cylinder pistons, a decrease in the amount of oil can lead to catastrophic consequences. Without sufficient lubrication, piston rings and cylinder walls begin to wear severely. As the dryer rotates, the connecting rod-crank assembly is also subject to wear.

Ultimately, this inevitably leads to an untimely engine overhaul that could have been avoided with the right maintenance option. Basically, if the power unit of the same “Korean” is prescribed oil with an index of 5W30, then it should be used.

The above recommendation for the selection of engine lubricants is more than relevant today, since the current fleet of Russian cars is saturated with used foreign cars from various manufacturers. However, which does not at all prevent you from finding the required and, most importantly, affordable version of the lubricant for a particular machine.

An example is the Fulllife 5W30 multigrade motor oil from the well-known Turkish brand Opet. This original product, developed for modern gasoline cars (mainly Asian-American production), is already being delivered to our market today.

Experts position it as an energy-saving engine oil. This is not surprising – it is produced on a synthetic basis using advanced additive packages. As a result, Fulllife 5W30 oil has a high resistance to oxidation, which is maintained during the entire lubrication period. In addition, the lubricant has excellent fluidity even in cold weather, so that engine parts are quickly lubricated when starting, even in severe frost.
