The “first sign” of Kaiyi in Russia will be the E5 sedan, already assembled in Kaliningrad. Sales of this model are expected to start before the end of March. The four-door, aimed at our country, will have a 1.5-liter turbo engine with 147 hp. Of. and a variator – it seems that in the showrooms we will not see a more affordable version with a five-speed “mechanics”.
Some time after the launch of the sedan, the Chinese will release three more Kaiyi crossovers. Or rather, two. After all, the X3 and X3 Pro are basically one model, only the Proshka is more advanced. The first version is based on a 1.5-liter engine with 116 forces and a CVT, the second – the same units as the sedan: a 147-horsepower engine and a continuously variable transmission. SUV length – 4400 mm, wheelbase – 2632 mm.
Finally, the fourth model – X7 Kunlun – will break into the niche of mid-sized crossovers. Engine – two-liter, 249 “horses”; gearbox – “robot” with seven gears. As for the dimensions, the length of the car reaches 4708 mm, and the wheelbase is 2800 mm. That is, it is slightly larger than, say, the fifth-generation Kia Sportage. And since this model is a novelty of the coming year, there is not even an image of it on the official website.
It remains only to add that there are no descriptions of trim levels, price lists, and for crossovers, not even an estimated launch date in Russia.
