Coronavirus “burps”: Miscalculations by chip manufacturers will increase the safety of LADA models
The grimaces of the “coronavirus” economy, according to the laws of which the whole world lived for almost two years, are slowly fading into oblivion. And with that “thick times” for suppliers of semiconductor components. The AvtoVzglyad portal talks about how this will affect the domestic auto industry.

The moaning of car manufacturers around the world about the lack of electronic components for car production has become a dull informational background in recent years. Not even internet news aggregators pay attention to it anymore. Initially, the motorized population was shocked and impressed by reports of the halting of production of entire car groups due to a shortage of chips. And we are used to living with it: no microelectronics – no cars. And then we noticed all kinds of sanctions – with a ban on the import into Russia of already inaccessible and expensive processors and sensors …

But suddenly the agency Bloomberg broke out with a sensational message: it turns out that the whole world almost immediately recoiled from the greatest shortage of microchips for their global oversupply.

– Sales of companies involved in the production of chips fall by about 30-50%. This is not a normal situation,” Greg Ro, head of technology research at HMC Investment & Securities, told the publication.

It turned out that manufacturers of all kinds of microelectronics around the world for some reason decided that the corona virus is forever. And accordingly, the inhabitants of planet Earth will henceforth be locked in “remote” and lockdowns forever. Therefore, they will continue to buy computers, tablets and smartphones as stabbed.

But as it turned out, the COVID-19 pandemic, advertised by the global pharmaceutical lobby, seemed to have resolved itself — against the background of truly dire dangers and problems that millions of people have faced since the spring of last year. And the strategic stocks of chips, built up by everyone involved in the microelectronics industry, suddenly turned out to be of no use to anyone. Representatives of the world’s leading manufacturers of electronic “brains” complain that such low demand for their products has not been observed in the last quarter of a century.

This is pretty good news for the Russian auto industry. For example, AvtoVAZ, due to the lack of electronic components, is now unable to equip its cars with ABS and fully functioning GLONASS units. This is due to a shortage of chips multiplied by anti-Russian sanctions. For example, Taiwanese firms, which produce the lion’s share of this product in the world, refused to supply it to us almost a year ago, forcing Russian companies to buy them through intermediaries at exorbitant prices. Or put up with a huge percentage of substandard supplies.

But now hard times are coming for “chip factories”. Because hunger is no aunt. They will have to lower sales prices and “think a lot” about following the anti-Russian sanctions. In any case, for the same AVTOVAZ, this is good. Look, and “brains” with ABS sensors will “stretch” in timid flocks to Russia – closer to spring-summer …
