For many years in a row, domestic SUVs of the LADA Niva family have shared the palm in the SUV segment. The Legend and Travel models are no exception in 2022. Together, just under 40,000 units of these cars were sold.
An additional incentive to buy was the updates that both models underwent, as well as the operation of a government support program to save the contents of household consumers’ wallets. However, the Niva already remains the cheapest SUV on the market.
Unexpectedly, but expected, the Chinese broke into the TOP-5 of the most popular crossovers. Let’s say thanks to the relatively low price, and at the same time the availability of cars from dealers, as well as the reputation built through trial and error. The most accessible of them should rightly be recognized as Haval Jolion, who was chosen by more than 17,000 people last year. Incidentally, 10,000 more than in 2021.
Nearly 12,000 Russians voted in rubles for the cheapest Coolray crossover in the Geely product line.
The Korean crossover Hyundai Creta lags behind the VAZ leaders with sales of almost 20,000 units. Let’s say more: a year earlier, dealers were able to confirm almost three times more cars of this model than in all of 2022.
It is clear that the warehouse stocks of “Crete” were exhausted in order, and the price tag for the car went into space without hesitation. However, among foreign cars – with the exception of Chinese ones – the crossover is still the cheapest in its class.
