More precisely, it is new for the “four”, because we could already see a similar interior on the updated “troechka” and the BMW i4 electric car. But the fresh multimedia model unfortunately did not succeed.
From now on, the entire line of the BMW 4 Series, including the M version, shows off a new interior. The front panel received two monitors integrated into a single housing. The instrument panel is represented by a display with a diagonal of 12.3 inches, and the central screen turned out to be huge – 14.9 inches.
The entire interface is “wired” in a multimedia complex, which, however, has not yet been updated to OS9. But the iDrive system, which can communicate with cloud services, has seen improvements. The gearbox joystick, with the exception of the M4, was replaced by a microscopic switch and paddle shifters are now available in the “base”.
Perhaps this is where all the “new things” for the “four” end. Meanwhile, the order table for the model is already open. Granted, only for European buyers.
