In fairness, it must be said that among the “right-hand drive” in the favorite of our compatriots are not only models of Japanese brands, but also American ones. Especially Ford. In addition, the history of the run of a particular car is most often “beaten” by residents of Krasnodar, Moscow, the Krasnoyarsk Territory, as well as the Chelyabinsk and Sverdlovsk regions. Slightly less often – in Novosibirsk, Omsk, St. Petersburg, Irkutsk and Bashkortostan.
“Our data shows that right-hand drive used cars are actively used not only in the Far East and Siberia, but also in other parts of Russia. The geographical proximity of certain regions of the Russian Federation to countries where right-hand drive cars are common has ensured the presence of various models of such cars in the Russian market for years,” Avtoteka service analysts told the AvtoVzglyad portal.
The most popular in the segment of foreign right-hand drive cars is, of course, the Toyota brand. The second place is occupied by models of the Nissan brand, and the third – by Honda. Mitsubishi and Mazda follow next, followed by Subaru and Suzuki. By the way, the TOP-10 of the most popular right-handers, as already mentioned, also included American Ford products designed for different markets.
As for the models themselves, most often when buying a future car, car enthusiasts study the history of Toyota Mark II, a little less often – Toyota Corolla and Toyota Vitz. Mazda Demio and Nissan Serena remain no less popular.
Also in the top ten right-hand drive cars of interest to our compatriots are the Nissan March, Nissan Sunny, Toyota Caldina, Nissan Wingroad and Nissan Cube. For the most part, we’re talking about cars under three years old, or cars whose age hasn’t passed the seven-year threshold. If in the first case the Toyota RAV4 crossover turned out to be the “headliner”, then in the second it was the compact Nissan Note.
It should be added that according to last year’s results, the port of Vladivostok managed to accept used RHD vehicles by 66% more than a year earlier. In absolute terms, this is just under 200,000 cars that tirelessly spread through the country. And what: cheap and cheerful.
