Photos of the camouflaged Hyundai Elantra were published by our foreign colleagues from Carscoops. It’s hard to see the details because of the dense camouflage film, but even with that, it’s clear that the Koreans have slightly modified the optics, bumpers and air ducts. There are no photos of the interior – probably his “spies” will appear later. But according to rumors, the refreshed Elantra will at least get a new ‘multimedia’ with a larger touchscreen.
Hyundai representatives also keep the technical details strictly confidential. However, it is likely that the power sources will remain the same. Recall that in Russia Elantra is offered with two engines: a 1.6-liter MPI with 128 hp Met. and a 2.0-liter engine from the Smartstream family for 150. The gearbox is a six-speed “automatic” in both cases.
And finally a moment of nostalgia. In December 2020, when the Hyundai Elantra just entered our market, they asked for it from 1,329,000 rubles. Now, in February 2023, the starting price of the model is 2,149,000 rubles. And then this is the suggested retail price, and the real dealer price is much higher. It is clear that the restyled Elantra will cost even more if it reaches us at all. But we won’t know that until 2024, when it premieres.
