Moscow traffic police “follow” secret patrols. The AvtoVzglyad portal learned that in the near future police officers in cars without special coloring will massively record traffic violations.
According to unofficial data received by the editors, on February 11, a special police operation will begin in the Moscow region with widespread use of secret patrols. Equipped traffic police officers take to the road in inconspicuous cars – without special signals and traffic police “signs” on the body. It is expected that the main objects of the “hunt” will be lovers of driving in the oncoming lane. Although other traffic offenses will not escape the attention of disguised police officers.
Police surveillance of motorists’ behavior on the road will largely take place in the evening on sections of highways where traffic jams are created by cars leaving Moscow. In such places, some car owners prefer to avoid traffic or overtake slow moving vehicles in the oncoming lane where it is prohibited.
Hidden patrols of the traffic police will record the fact of the violation using a video camera and openly report the data of the reckless car to colleagues. If such a driver is soon apprehended by a traffic police unit, the video will become the basis for drawing up a protocol and filing an administrative law case.
Recall that driving “on the opposite lane” in a prohibited place is punishable under Article 12.15 of the Code of Administrative Offenses, either with a fine of 5,000 rubles, or with deprivation of “rights” for 4-6 months.
