
Hyundai has announced the launch of another crossover, the Hyundai Mufasa. The AvtoVzglyad portal got acquainted with the features of the novelty.
Crossover Hyundai Mufasa is produced by Beijing-Hyundai. This joint venture was founded in 2002 by the Korean Hyundai Motor Co and the Chinese Beijing Automotive Industry Holding Co (BAIC Group).
The model will be officially presented for the first time in April this year at the Shanghai Motor Show. Known body dimensions Hyundai Mufasa: 4475x1850x1665 mm. Wheelbase – 2680 mm, curb weight – 1464 kg. So, the novelty will occupy an intermediate position in the Hyundai line between Creta (base – 2610 mm) and Tucson (base – 2755 mm). The closest to Hyundai Mufasa will be its “cousin” – Kia Seltos. It has almost the same distance between the axles – 2630 mm.
It is known that under the hood of the Hyundai Mufasa there will be a 2-liter gasoline engine with 160 horsepower. Details about the car’s transmission types are not yet available. The maximum speed of the model is indicated at the level of 187 km/h. There are currently plans to release hybrid and electric versions of the Mufasa.
Initially, Hyundai Mufasa will enter the domestic Chinese market. It is possible that over time we will see this SUV in the showrooms of Russian car dealers.
