Having survived a wave of excitement, dealers have faded into obscurity. Some activity can only be seen near the repair areas, but in the showrooms it is deserted. The number of sellers is significantly reduced, although the goods are in the hall. And there are many: in addition to China, which has already staked its claim on the Russian market, there are also well-known European and Japanese brands, as if gone, but as if they were not there. Koreans also have plenty of showroom cars that you can theoretically buy right now.
For example, in Kia salons there are enough of both Soul and Sportage, but K5 and Rio, which are popular in taxis, are not offered. Although managers hint that the latter are still found, and you can get them even if you gold plate the pen.
You can leave the Toyota DC for Camry, Land Cruiser and RAV4. But the prices bite much stronger than those on the bulletin boards. It is curious that it is no longer possible to take a business loan, because the “own” banks of car brands have found themselves in an interesting position: neither here nor there. And they can’t take in any income, and they don’t want to continue to function. Therefore, they accumulate and continue to reap the “harvest” of agreements previously made.
Mitsubishi has the most complete range. A classic Pajero has even been withdrawn from official sale – and not only in a three-liter version, but also in a rare version with a 3.8-liter engine. All are from the United Arab Emirates.
There are also cars presented in the “official” model line of Mitsu: Outlander (at least three million), Eclipse Cross, ASX and even the once scarce Pajero Sport of the Kaluga assembly. Why such a rich selection? Parallel imports played a role: dealers raised prices and private merchants brought in enough cars for the buyer to turn his nose up at the five “mults” price tags. As a result, the money “hangs”, no one takes the car.
The showrooms of the great German trio are full of cars – as if there were no restrictions. But not all cars have price tags: from now on, prices will be discussed privately with each customer. Yet, after all, the streaming method does not imply such figures: a new G-class for 24,000,000 rubles. To order, they are ready to take at least a conditional moon from the sky – no problem. The choice of a car from the Emirates (slightly cheaper) and directly from Europe at full rate. By the way, it was in the salon of the long-suffering star with three rays that the only deal was made for the whole day. And you say there is no money. To eat!
Volkswagen is no longer “das auto”, but rather a “das luxe”. Several Chinese Jetta, which the AvtoVzglyad portal introduced earlier, thin the ranks of the Tiguan and Touareg, which have risen in price to the point of obscenity. The Polo sedan for two million is also part of today’s reality. And what about the French? Let’s take a look in the Citroën showroom – we will find the C5 Aircross crossovers, ready to leave the walls of the showroom on the same day. We did, however, discuss the state of affairs of Citro and the related Peugeot in a separate article.
As you can see, the market is quite saturated and diverse, but sellers make up for the lack of horse margin transactions. Thus, the budget segment completely and completely merged into the mid-price segment, which in turn rounded up to “luxury”. Therefore, in each dealer there are either “Chinese”, or several used cars, or – the same parallel import, which has already been imported from everything.
