The new Chinese brand Jetour debuts in Russia with two crossovers

Talk about the fact that the “heavenly” Jetour brand can officially enter the Russian market began last year, but so far there have been no specifics. Finally it turned out: it turned out that the Chinese had already registered the legal entity Jetur Motors Rus and would soon open orders for the first two crossovers.

In China, Jetour is a sub-brand of Chery, but in Russia, as representatives of the “parent company” AvtoVzglyad previously told, they will be two completely different, unrelated brands with separate distributors. Similar to Kaiyi – although in China it belongs to Chery, in our country these brands are on their own. But hey: something else is much more interesting – what will Jetour offer us?

According to Chinese Automobiles, Jetour is already completing the certification of two crossovers – the X90 and Dashing (that’s right, via i, although it’s called Dasheng in China). With them, the new brand will enter the Russian market. Then the model line will definitely expand – for example, it may include “SUV” X70 and X70 Plus. But so far this is just an assumption – there is no evidence.

As for the timing of the start of sales, the launch of the brand is scheduled for March-April this year. According to preliminary data, dealers will demand a Dashing city crossover with a 186-horsepower engine from 2.2 million rubles. But for a larger X90 with an engine for 254 “horses” – already from 4 million. At the same time, both the first and second models, curiously enough, have exclusively front-wheel drive.

By the way, Jetour Dashing/Dasheng is already sold in Russia under the parallel import scheme. But dealers offering a crossover “gray” ask for it much more – 3.3 million rubles.
