Experts from overseas JD Power summarized the results of the following reliability rating of cars, many of which are on Russian roads. The AvtoVzglyad portal studied the report of experts who found out which of the crossovers are the least likely to cause problems for their owners.

First of all, it should be said that in the course of the study, the greatest number of operational problems related to electronics, which are everywhere equipped with modern vehicles. Experts studied the calls of car owners to service centers, which made them the TOP of the most “long-running” crossovers on the world market.

The experts assessed the cars on a whole range of factors, ranging from ergonomics and design to the work of multimedia and electronic assistants. For example, the Japanese Lexus was recognized in 2023 as the most trouble-free brand.

Incidentally, the premium brand took the palm of the hand from the Korean Kia, which was previously the leader in the hit parade. For one hundred “Lexus”, 133 complaints were registered in the technical zones for all kinds of operational problems. Kia owners turned to the military much more often – 152 times in the period specialists noted for the study. Thus, “Kia” got only third place in the report.

The second position in terms of reliability was taken by the pseudo-premium brand Genesis, owned by the Korean company Hyundai. The occupational index of the owners of these cars is 144 per 100 cars.

Next come the models of American Chevrolet, Japanese Mitsubishi and Toyota, which are rapidly losing popularity in Russia. Yes, yes, Toyota is slowly but surely no longer meeting the expectations of its fans. However, it is much worse for outsiders, which turned out to be the British Land Rover, which collected 273 complaints for 100 cars, the German Audi (252) and Mercedes-Benz (240).

As for individual models, the most enduring was the Lexus RX crossover, which shared the podium with the Toyota CH-R. Also on top of the iceberg were the Korean Kia Sportage, again the Japanese Lexus NX and Toyota Highlander, as well as the German BMW X2 and X5.

It is noteworthy that every year car owners are less inclined to go to technical centers with various problems. While the average value of the index was 192 per hundred cars three years ago, it has now dropped to 186.

In general, crossover owners – regardless of make and model – complain about the operation of multimedia systems, the refusal to communicate with smartphones with ordinary head units, as well as the “glitches” of touch screens.
