“The Haval Automobile Plant plans to bring eight new models to market this year,” said Pavel Tatarenko, CEO of the Corporation for the Development and Support of the Tula Region, at a committee meeting at the Federation Council devoted to the problems and prospects for the development of the domestic auto industry.
According to him, the factory is currently producing five models of the Chinese brand. Last year, the Tula Haval car assembly plant produced about 37,000 cars at a total cost of more than 73 billion rubles.
Earlier, the AvtoVzglyad portal reported on a number of failed attempts by Haval to launch its H6 model in the domestic market. It is made on the same basis as the Haval Dargo crossover already sold in Russia. It is possible that this year the Chinese can still push the long-suffering H6 into our market at an affordable price for consumers – by setting up production in the Tula region.
