If the traffic police decided to pay less attention to motorists whose cars sin with a malfunctioning “handbrake” or a burned-out light bulb in the headlight, the Liberal Democrats submitted a whole bill to the State Duma, where they proposed amnesty for violators for such “flat tires” as slightly exceeding the speed limit, maneuvering on the road, driving at a prohibition light and other sins.
These ideas were expected to be liked by motorists, but not by all delegates. So, for example, the chairman of the Just Russia – For the Truth party, Sergei Mironov, called this short story “irresponsible and dangerous.” In his view, it is highly ineffective to wipe out almost an entire chapter of the Administrative Offenses Code. In addition, the politician spoke sharply and rather insultingly about the offenders themselves:
– That is, if some freak who has been deprived of “rights” flies at breakneck speed, cuts off, skips traffic lights, does not give way to pedestrians, it turns out not to be dangerous … Such a strange humanism. The proposed amnesty only plays into the hands of such bastards, it will make our roads more dangerous,” the deputy criticized the possible relaxation of liability for drivers.
