It seems that the paid parking lot in Moscow continues to grow. Suddenly, already after the decision of the council of municipal deputies, the residents of Vernadsky Avenue found out about it and were not very happy about it. The AvtoVzglyad portal examined the details of the situation.
On March 16, the Council of Deputies and the administration of the Prospekt Vernadsky district of Moscow, without consulting the residents of the district, as the locals themselves reported, agreed on the introduction of paid parking in the area. Some of them will occupy parking bays along Koshtoyants and Semenov-Tyan-Shansky streets.
This will result in all taxi drivers and hundreds of ATiSO/MGIMO students parking in the courtyards and making it nearly impossible for the natives to drive or get through. An initiative group has already been set up in the district, which is now collecting signatures for the withdrawal of this decision and is conducting its public discussion. At the same time, citizens appealed to the district prefecture and local deputies.
Recall that a similar story happened before in the Rostokino district, whose residents were surprised to learn that their city council (“at the request of the Muscovites”, of course) initiated the expansion of a paid parking zone, “forgetting” to discuss it with residents . Then the former municipal deputy of the district Olga Kravchuk and the deputy of the Moscow State Duma Maxim Kruglov, as well as residents of houses adjacent to the new proposed paid zone, joined the cause and collected about 500 signatures against the expansion. At the moment, the matter is being investigated by transport officials, that is, the process of increasing the number of coin parking signs in the area has been temporarily delayed.
