Xi Jinping accidentally opened a motorcycle season in Moscow

The Chinese leader’s March visit to the Russian capital was remarkable in many ways. President Xi’s trip to Moscow paradoxically showed local bikers that it’s time to “renew the tarmac” after a long winter. Portal “AutoVzglyad” explains the logic of events.

The footage of Xi Jinping’s motorcade from Vnukovo Airport to Moscow along the Kievskoye Highway was perhaps shown by all information outlets. Mercedes and BMW sedans with guards, a VW Multivan minibus and other cars that should be in such cases were seen in the cavalcade. Next to them, the Aurus Arsenal minibus “lighted up” again among the cars of the procession.

The President of the People’s Republic of China, Xi Jinping, apparently rode in the cab of one of the two Hongqi N70 limousines himself. The latter are assigned to the first persons of the Chinese state. Or maybe it didn’t have Comrade Xi in it! The guards could best put the chairman in Arsenal together with Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko, who was waiting for him at the airport. While a few Hongqi N70 served as a decoy for would-be terrorists.

Be that as it may, but in this case it was not the cars of the motorcade that caught our attention, but the accompanying motorcycles. Apparently these were BMW R1150RT with sidecars. Such devices are at the disposal of the FSO’s “Special Purpose Garage”. We believe that not only the editors of the AvtoVzglyad portal drew attention to them, but also many motorcyclists in the capital region. As a visible confirmation that motorcycling is already possible: the roads are clear of snow, the asphalt is dry. In general, thanks to Comrade Xi for the actual opening of the 2023 motorcycle season!

And a separate “thank you” for the monstrous traffic jams on the streets of the capital, caused by his appearance in Moscow. Due to road closures in the city center, many motorists were stuck in traffic jams for 3-4 hours last night. And it’s not over yet. The Chinese leader will not fly out of Russia until March 22. That is, on the 21st and 22nd, Moscow motorists are waiting for the same “fun” cork adventures as on March 20.
