If there is a shop nearby where you can buy a magic tube of super glue, then you are incredibly lucky. But if fate decrees otherwise, then you will have to “work” with improvised materials. And in such a case, motorists who have seen their lives have a few pieces of ordinary linoleum in the trunk of their car.
By the way, in the USSR, every self-respecting driver and part-time self-taught mechanic always had trimmings from essentially the only floor covering at that time, and at the same time white spirit, as a universal “cure” for many problems.
So: fill with solvent finely chopped pieces of linoleum, previously separated from the fabric base, and leave the miracle composition for a while in a closed container. A jar, a bottle and an ordinary matchbox will do. After the substance has taken on a thick form, resembling PVA glue, you can get to work. The resulting tool perfectly holds the broken plastic, cracked gum and missing chrome together. As they say, cheap and cheerful: no thanks!
By the way, do you know why smart car owners constantly carry with them detergent, salt and aspirin tablets, which are not used to stop diseases? Then you are here.
