5 popular foreign cars that are contraindicated for purchase due to regular breakdowns
In the modern automotive industry, which has long become a disposable item, there are many cars that are easier to refuse than to constantly waste your time, nerves and money through regular breakdowns. The AvtoVzglyad portal got acquainted with a report on the most failed cars of recent years, prepared by authoritative industry experts.

Specialists of the European WhatCar? published the results of another study, attended by a countless number of consumers who own popular cars over five years old. Based on their feedback, experts have identified the most problematic cars that systematically annoy their owners with operational problems.

It is noteworthy that in the process of collecting information, not only the “ulcers” themselves and the degree of their regularity were taken into account, but also the severity of the technical problems encountered, as well as the cost of eliminating breakdowns and the time spent on their elimination.

Even the premium Audi A3 was unconditionally recognized as an outsider in the reliability rating. The car is massively scolded by consumers for all sorts of flaws, and almost 58% of owners turned to technical centers a year after purchase. One third of the complaints relate to incorrect navigation and permanent “glitches” of the head unit, including constant malfunctions of the multimedia complex. Slightly less than 30% of A3 owners suffer from faults in electrical equipment.

However, it is much worse that the owners of the “four rings” often face the need to repair the clutch and gearbox and replace the battery, which dies much earlier than the specified time. And car owners are also dissatisfied with the quality of the interior trim, which quickly becomes unusable, and with the thin paintwork of the body. Here’s a bounty for you – I bought it and regretted it.

No less, if not more, the premium Mercedes-Benz A-class took the “honorable” second place in the anti-rating. And especially the vaunted “hybrid”, designed to save fuel, but not the money of buyers who are forced to contact a car service due to some technical problems, attracts the most criticism. Starting with the timing drive, ending with the “bugs” of the electronic control unit. Similar “sores” were faced by 46% of the “mersovod”. Almost as many people felt the “charms” of a failing air conditioning system. In addition, more than half of the owners speak negatively about the eternal problems with the electrician. Here it is, real German quality. Thanks Sean!

Let’s move on to more everyday models, because in third place in the list of the worst cars, by the way, is the Czech Skoda Octavia, owned by the German concern VAG. Almost 55% of the “naughty people” brought their cars to technical centers a year and a half after purchase. The reasons are different, but none of them add joy. About 30% of car owners regularly experience problems with the electricity, 31% with multimedia and the same number with the navigation system. However, the problems associated with the key units in the car were not spared. In particular the gearbox, clutch and flywheel, the anti-lock braking system and all kinds of sensors.

By the way, owners of Skoda Kodiaq crossovers experience problems with transmission and clutch, and Volkswagen Golf with electricity. But once the German model was the standard in the class! But as we can see, times are changing and now the Golf can only boast of a number of operational problems, including the multimedia entertainment complex and the typical navigation for Vag cars. That’s fantastic, no different!
