Our compatriots consider cars more expensive than 1,500,000 rubles to be the most comfortable, “controlled” and reliable. Apparently, that’s why they’re incredibly popular. And who said that the population has no money?
Analysts from the Avito Auto platform analyzed sales in the mentioned price segment and shared the reporting data with the AvtoVzglyad portal. What cars did Russians buy most often, costing more than 1,500,000 rubles?
The absolute leader in sales was the Japanese Toyota Camry, which held a little more than 5% of the share in the used foreign car sector at a price of up to 3,000,000 rubles. After the bestseller, the Korean crossover Kia Sportage follows with a share of 2.6 percent in the segment. And the top three is closed by an SUV from the Land of the Rising Sun – Toyota RAV4, which bit 2.44% of the “pie”.
The German Volkswagen Tiguan turned out to be slightly less popular with an indicator of 2.11% and the TOP-5 was closed by the Korean Hyundai Creta, which gnawed away almost 2% of its share in its segment. The sixth row of the most popular cars among Russians was occupied by no less Korean Hyundai Santa Fe (1.91%), and the seventh was recorded by Tucson – 1.82%.
Then the “Japanese” comes again in the person of Toyota Land Cruiser Prado – the SUV managed to get 1.69% of the share, ahead of the sedan from the Land of Morning Calm – Kia Optima, which gained 1.66%. The TOP-10 is crowned by a modified version of the Optima with the K5 nameplate – the model received a 1.64 percent share of the sector of foreign cars more expensive than 1,500,000 rubles.
But among the models for 3,000,000 domestic banknotes, Toyota Land Cruiser grabbed the palm and controlled 4% of the market. Slightly behind – 3.6% – is the German BMW X5. And if the Kruzak really proved its indestructibility during operation, then the Bavarian regularly causes problems for its owners. However, the magic of the propeller on the bonnet works no less wonders than Toyota’s spells. But the “Koreans” rarely upset the drivers and annoy them with only minor disturbances.
By the way, profile experts who interviewed more than 300,000 car owners made an assessment of the most “tenacious” foreign cars older than three years. The AvtoVzglyad portal got acquainted with the results of the investigation.
