And also in part 1 of article 12.3 of the Code of Administrative Violations. It refers to a fine for driving without documents of 500 rubles. It is proposed to supplement it with the sentence “only for a vehicle registered as a stolen vehicle”. Recall that if a traffic police officer stops a car with an undocumented driver, he is obliged to draw up a protocol for a fine and send the car to a car impound.

The authors of the amendments to the Code of Administrative Offenses are convinced that the lack of documents for the vehicle by the driver, if any, does not affect road safety in any way. At the same time, sending a car to a special parking lot, on the one hand, means additional problems for the car owner, and on the other hand, diverts the time and attention of the traffic police from counteracting other, really dangerous offenses on the road.
