Such a routine procedure as replacing the lubricant in the drive unit has its own characteristics. Usually mining is drained by loosening the plug in the oil sump.
Such a routine procedure as replacing the lubricant in the drive unit has its own characteristics. Usually mining is drained by loosening the plug in the oil sump.
Using the instruction manual, you can determine how much unnecessary lubricant remains in the engine of the machine. As a rule, the total and filling volumes of the unit are indicated there. For example, 4.2 liters and 3.8 liters. That is, after draining, about 10% of the consumables remain inside. It accumulates under the valve cover, in the oil channels and in the recesses of the oil sump.
Usually there is no serious crime in this, but occasionally you need to do a thorough “moidodyr”. For example, if the engine overheated locally, the oil had not been changed for a long time (or there was an “overshoot”), or there are suspicions that a fake was filled in.
The easiest way is to use a special rinse aid. It is poured in instead of a new lubricant, after which the engine idles for about 15-20 minutes. During this time, the chemistry will wash away almost any old residue. But one hundred percent result has not yet been achieved.
The second method is more complicated – you need to scroll the crankshaft. To do this, shut off the fuel supply (e.g. by removing the fuse from the fuel pump). Then the starter “stimulates” the drive unit for 3-4 seconds. Such a short time is enough for the remnants of sewage to fall into the pan. Here we note that the cylinder-piston group will not be damaged by this. After all, the protective film on the parts is retained and the speed is too low.
You can also get the “slurry” with a syringe, by attaching a silicone tube of suitable diameter to it. We insert it into the drain hole and begin to work. In such a simple way, it is really possible to pump out more than a hundred milliliters of mining.
Some dealers have special air cleaners that remove lubricant from the system through pressure differences. But the procedure also has drawbacks. The device can only be used on vehicles with non-removable oil filters. And when flushing, only the oil lines are cleaned. It is also important that the process does not reach the head of the block. And also – in theory – you can damage the oil pressure sensor, which will end in a breakdown.
