Assembly of three crossovers of the SWM brand, owned by the Chinese company Shineray Group, has begun at Avtotor’s facilities. Three models will roll off the assembly line: SWM G01, SWM G01F and SWM G05 Pro.
SWM G01 is a car with dimensions of 4610x1855x1725 mm and a wheelbase of 2750 mm, armed with a 1.5-liter 156 hp gasoline turbo engine. Drive — Front only. The transmission is a six-speed manual or a CVT. Model SWM G01F differs from SWM G01 only in a “sporty” body kit. Technically, the machines are identical. The crossover was first presented to the public in 2018.
The third SWM model, now produced at Avtotor, the G05 PRO, is younger. It was released in 2022. The dimensions of the G05 PRO are close to the dimensions of the “colleagues” in the screwdriver assembly: 4605x1815x1810 mm, wheelbase – 2780 mm. This allows Atotora’s official representatives to call the SWM G01 a “mid-size crossover” and the SWM G05 Pro a “full-size”.
In addition, let’s say that the engine of the G05 Pro is exactly the same as that of the G01 – a 1.5-liter 156 hp. The crossover’s transmission is also front-wheel drive only. In addition to the “mechanics”, the buyer of the SWM G05 Pro can get a “robot” with 7 speeds.
Recall that earlier it became known about the release of Chinese sedans Kaiyi E5 (formerly known as Chery Arrizo 7) and BAIC U5 Plus, as well as the BAIC X35 crossover at Avtotor.
