In Moscow “Technopolis”, which is located on the territory of the former AZLK, they began to assemble EVM Pro electric trucks based on the UAZ Profi chassis. Approximately 77% of components are produced domestically, including all built-in electronics, steel and non-ferrous rolled products, chassis, sensors and plastics.
Ilya Rashkin, general manager of Electric Vehicles Manufacturing Rus, said that the whole process from concept to implementation was quite short, but difficult. Cells for batteries are also Chinese. But a subsidiary of Rosatom, Rener, will help here. It is already building a gigafactory for the production of traction batteries.
