The specific reputation of traffic police officers in the southern regions of Russia has again received factual confirmation. According to the AvtoVzglyad portal, this time the police officers of the Stavropol Territory are suspected of mass violations.

Amazing things have been going on for years in the MREO of seven settlements in the Stavropol area. They have now been sorted out by employees of the internal security service of the Ministry of the Interior for about a month. They found out that employees of various registration and inspection departments of the local traffic police have been registering citizens’ cars for more than two years, which provided the same CMTPL policies. According to the law, in such cases a refusal to register the vehicle should follow, but the Stavropol traffic police turned a blind eye to this.

Reportedly, the inspectors have recorded more than 600 violations – now 82 employees of the Stavropol MREO are trying to explain their behavior to them. Among those suspected of negligence is the deputy head of the Stavropol MREO, Lieutenant Colonel Vlas Chernovolenko. The CSS police “shakes” the traffic police units of Stavropol, Pyatigorsk, Essentuki, Budennovsk, Nevinnomyssk, Georgievsk, Mikhailovsk and the Soviet city district. Regular inspectors as well as heads of department and their deputies must answer.

What will happen to the owners of illegally registered cars is currently unknown, Baza reports.
