According to the boss of Omoda’s Russian office, the share of Chinese car manufacturers in the Russian market will approach 50% by the end of 2023. By the way, Omoda herself has ambitious plans, which, as they say, sees the goal – does not see obstacles. The young brand is aiming for the top five, while competing with higher-class models.
– To date, we have reached a share of 3.4%. And with the release of the new Omoda S5 sedan, it will increase to 4%. Our goal is to enter the TOP-5 Chinese brands in the Russian market step by step. And I am sure that we will successfully achieve this goal,” Victor Naschansky, head of Omoda in Russia, told the AvtoVzglyad portal.
“For us, it was a big surprise that when playing with the Omoda C5 crossover in the “B” segment, maximum in “B +”, we are universally compared with C-class models. For example with Haval F7. Yes, and we don’t consider Haval Jolion or Geely Coolray as rivals at all,” the top manager added without hesitation.
