Dirt on rims, tires, sills and the bottom of a car can be a reason for road agents to punish the driver with a ruble. And all because
After driving on an unpaved road, the car is immediately covered with a layer of gray-brown substance, which not only makes the car look sloppy, but can also turn out to be a fine for the owner. Judge for yourself: a wet, sticky mixture in the form of soil and clay in wheel arches, tire treads and vehicle suspension elements can fall directly onto the roadway and leave a trail of mud. If such a car owner catches the eye of traffic cops, a penalty cannot be avoided.
The point is that Art. 12.33 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation “Damage to roads, railway crossings or other road structures” provides for very “non-acidic” penalties for damage to the roadway, which includes, in particular, pollution. That is, if you sprinkle the asphalt with the “garbage” from a cross-country trip, please replenish the state budget. And all because, in theory, dirt can cause an emergency.
The Administrative Code says in Russian and white: “damage to roads or technical means of organizing traffic that pose a threat to safety, as well as deliberate obstruction of traffic, including by pollution of the road surface” entails a fine along from 5,000 to 10,000 rubles. And the law did not care that there were no special roads in the country – motorists, for the most part, are forced to travel exclusively in directions. But in our country it is not for the people, but at the expense of the people and against them. So nothing new really.
However, the responsibility of officials is much greater – the fine for damaging the roadway by polluting it will be 25,000 rubles. And legal entities will have to hand over a colossal amount in total, having paid as much as 300,000 hard-earned money to the Treasury!
Of course, in practice, traffic police officers rarely fine “pilots” for such misunderstandings, and usually only during special raids related to the arrest of ATV pilots, who often operate their equipment without “permits”. That’s when jeepers fall under the hot hand and their SUVs, which often do not meet the requirements of the technical regulations, roll up an asphalt road.
We believe that it is not necessary to talk about the appearance of the “rogues” after fierce off-road rides. And even more so for law enforcement. So they completely “bomb” off-road enthusiasts: from the lifted suspension and stained number plates to dirt scattered on the road, which is only considered damage to the road profile.
However, with an irresistible desire, as you understand, traffic cops can easily “get to the bottom” of everyone. Including, and for the driver of the usual “puzoterka”, whose wheels and body are smeared with mud.
