At the same time, the brand’s own dealer network, which included more than 150 car dealerships, was basically left to its own devices.

Now these companies want to receive compensation from the French for the costs of acquiring and renting real estate in dealerships, for their conversion to Renault standards, for staff training, for paying off loans taken out for the development of the brand’s dealer network in Russia. In addition, they want to return the money they had to spend due to the lack of warranty support from the French, as well as compensate for the loss of profit due to the cessation of sales of branded cars in the domestic market.

If Renault ignores the appeal of its former partners, the latter threaten to go to court. True, it is not clear – in what and with what prospects for satisfaction of the claim.
