We’ve had multiple DDOS attacks in the past hours. Securing and recovering servers can take from 1 to 12 hours. We recommend taking some rest during maintenance, otherwise workouts may not be recorded properly.— STEP | Public Beta Phase IV (@Stepnofficial) June 5, 2022
“Server protection and recovery can take up to 12 hours. We recommend taking some rest during maintenance, otherwise the workouts may not be recorded correctly,” the developers wrote.
Built on the Solana and BNB Chain networks, the game lets you get rewards in GST and GMT tokens for walking or running. To participate, users must purchase their sneakers in NFT form.
“Our engineers work hard to solve the problems. We will let you know as soon as the restoration is complete.”
At the time of writing, the developers did not provide additional comments.
Despite the attack, the price of the GMT project management token has increased by more than 10% in the past day and is trading at $1.05 (CoinGecko).
The price of the in-game currency GST on Solana has risen 6.5% to $0.66 in the last 24 hours. On the BNB Chain blockchain, the coin costs about $0.85.
Recall that from June 15th, STEPN will stop serving users in mainland China.
