Leading Brazilian financial broker XP has launched XTAGE, a crypto trading platform powered by Nasdaq’s technology. Reported by The Block.
The mobile application allows you to trade Bitcoin and Ethereum. Xtage CEO Marcos Hori emphasized that the company has received “tons of requests” from customers who want to invest in cryptocurrencies.
The number of active XP users exceeds 3.6 million.
Several other Brazilian companies have also recently introduced cryptocurrency trading tools. For example, BTG Pactual bank launched the Mynt platform at the end of July.
Fintech company PicPay introduced a trading platform a week ago that supports Bitcoin, Ethereum and Paxos stablecoin USDP.
Digital banking unicorn Nubank launched the Nucripto marketplace in late June. Within a month, the platform’s user base crossed the 1 million mark.
Recall that in July, the Brazilian branch of Santander Bank promised to open the possibility of trading digital assets for customers in the “coming months”.
