Xiaomi is preparing to launch a new foldable phone model in China soon. The foldable smartphone of the future is expected to be the Mix Flip model. But ahead of any official announcement, a new leak has revealed more details about the battery and display cover features.
Xiaomi Mix Flip Cover screen and battery
The news comes from a well-known Digital Chat Station tipster who shared the information on Weibo (Chinese microblogging site). Xiaomi Mix Flip is expected to be released in the first half of this year. This means its launch could be just around the corner. According to DCS, the flexible main screen of the smartphone will be surrounded by narrow bezels, while the cover screen will have two holes for a dual camera with a 50-megapixel main camera and a telephoto camera.
The speaker also added that the prototype Mix Flip model has a 4800mAh/4900mAh battery. This is in line with our previous report, which said that it will have a larger battery despite its slim form factor. In addition, the Chinese technology giant is expected to introduce 67W wired fast charging in its latest foldable phone model.
From what we know so far, the smartphone has model numbers 2405CPX3DC and 2405CPX3DG for the Chinese and global markets respectively. It is said to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC, but it may not support satellite connectivity despite initial reports to the contrary. The name was first confirmed via an IMEI database listing last year and will likely compete with the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5. That’s all the information we have right now, so stay tuned for more updates.
