iPhone 16 Pro Max: review and unboxing

‌iPhone 16‌ and iPhone 16 Pro models It is now in the hands of customers all over the world. We already looked at it iPhone 16and now we’re back with an unboxing and brief review of the ‌iPhone 16 Pro‌ and Pro Maxhigh-end Apple flagship devices.

Unpacking is new this year iPhone It’s gotten a little more boring since Apple removed stickers from the box for the first time. No more stickers and no more charger, just the ‌iPhone‌ and the cable.

The first leaks of the new ‘Desert’ titanium colour made it look pretty off-putting, but it’s a soft, light gold with a darker shade on the case and a lighter shade on the back. It’s not ugly at all, and it even has a bit of pink in it, so it looks close to rose gold in some lights. We also have the Titanium White ‌iPhone 16 Pro‌ and it’s gorgeous.

It looks like last year’s white titanium, and there’s not much to say about it. The Pro colors are decidedly dull, especially when compared to the pretty blue, pink, and navy tones Apple used for the “iPhone 16” models.

AndiPhone 16 ProAnd Professional Maximum It’s larger in size and the bezels have been reduced. The thinner bezels are noticeable in person, even when compared to the iPhone 15 Pro models. If you have an even older ‌iPhone‌, this makes a big difference. The 16 Pro Max definitely feels a bit larger in the hand, while the 16 Pro is closer to the Goldilocks size.

This yeariPhone 16 Pro And Professional Maximum They have the same specs except for the screen size and battery life. You’ll get the most out of the 16 Pro Max’s battery, as the larger body allows for a larger battery, but there are improvements on both models.

All iPhones have a new camera control button on the right side, which you can use to open the Camera app to take photos and videos. A quick double-tap takes a photo, a tap and then a tap and hold takes a video, which is handy. It’s easier to use in landscape mode than portrait mode, and all those gestures to change settings take some getting used to.

We have some demo footage in our video, and we shot this entire review on the 16 Pro and Pro Max so you can check out the video quality. These models support 4K recording at 120fps, and you can adjust the frame rate later. Apple also added the Audio Mix feature to adjust the audio in videos, and we used it here. You can block out the sound around the person you’re recording, or bring out all the noise like in a movie, and the Audio Mix can also be adjusted with a slider.

There are new photo styles for your photos that you can customize to get the perfect look for all your images. Use the new keyboard to go bold or subtle, and your personalized style can be applied to all photos or just one photo in real time while editing.

Apple has added a new 48MP Ultra Wide camera so you can get better lighting for wide shots or macro shots, and both models now have 5x zoom. We’ll be diving deeper into the camera next week, so stay tuned.

If you’re using a newer ‌iPhone‌, you probably won’t notice much of a speed increase with the new A18 Pro chip, because most of what you do on the ‌iPhone‌ doesn’t use the processor. This will have implications for Apple Intelligence, but of course none of the Apple Intelligence features will be available yet unless you install the iOS 18.1 beta.
