What happened to Cybertruck?

A Tesla pickup owner claims on CybertruckOwnersClub that when he tried to clean the car with a microfiber cloth, the windshield began to crumble right under his hands, leaving him covered in a web of tiny cracks. It seems that a so-called “strong” car that can survive “on any planet”, as Musk promised, is not supposed to behave this way.

While cleaning the windshield with a freshly washed microfiber cloth, the windshield was covered in cobwebs [тріщин] and broke into pieces. Is anyone else having problems with a weak windshield? This should be under warranty or recall. I’m not happy at all

In the picture he added to the post, you can see that the cracks cover the entire windshield:

In later comments, the author added that he cleaned the glass from the inside and did not apply excessive force and pressure. “I don’t think I’m that strong,” he said.

A user with the nickname Crissa wrote that this was probably a flaw the glass acquired at the factory: “Glass is made under pressure. It has many layers and a microscopic flaw will eventually cause it to break. What you do now won’t matter.”

• This isn’t the first time a pickup truck’s armored glass has broken under conditions it should easily withstand. The company claims the glass is hail resistant, but there has been at least one reported case of a regular hailstorm in Texas causing the Cybertruck’s glass to shatter.
• In another incident, the criminal managed to get into the car by breaking the driver’s side window and peeling it off like an orange peel.

It is currently unknown whether the owner has contacted the service center.
