Thematic resource Sammyfans writes that Samsung phones in the Galaxy S22 series are starting to complain that their device’s battery is draining quickly. It is also reported that the phones are starting to get noticeably warmer.
Galaxy S22 uses two SoCs – Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 and Exynos 2200, but models with proprietary Exynos SoC turned out to be problematic. Also, cases of premature battery drain and heating of the phone started to be recorded after the release of the December One UI update, and the January update is reportedly only making the situation worse. It has not been reported whether Samsung is aware of these issues, but there is hope that the company can still eliminate them with a firmware update.
Meanwhile, the company is currently testing One UI 5.1, the first devices with this interface out of the box are expected to be the Galaxy S23, and after its launch, other models of the company will be launched, including the Galaxy S22. Get One UI 5.1.
