OPPO is expected to announce the Reno 10 series smartphones in China in May or June. The series is expected to include three models: Reno 10, Reno 10 Pro and Reno 10 Pro+. A Digital Chat Station expert has revealed the name of the chip that will power the Reno 10 Pro+ in his new post on Weibo.
According to DCS, the Reno 10 Pro+ will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 chipset. The same chip is also under the hood of the Reno 9 Pro+, which was launched in China in November 2022. Initial reports of the Find X6 lineup claimed that the regular Find X6 would have SD8+G1, but this was eventually scrapped. Instead, the company launched the Find X6 based on the Dimensity 9200. A modified version of the apparently canceled Find X6 may debut in the Chinese market as the Reno 10 Pro+.
Previous reports claimed that the Reno 10 Pro+ will feature a 6.74-inch OLED display with 1.5K resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. It will have a 32-megapixel Sony IMX709 front camera. Above is the Reno 10 Pro Plus schematic, which was allegedly leaked last December.
The rear camera of the device will have a 50-megapixel Sony IMX890 primary camera with optical image stabilization (OIS). It will be equipped with an 8-megapixel Sony IMX355 ultra-wide lens and a 64-megapixel periscopic camera with 2x optical zoom.
The Reno 10 Pro Plus may have a 4,700mAh battery that can support 80W wired charging. It may come with up to 16GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 512GB of UFS 3.1 storage. The phone will be preloaded with Android 13 based on ColorOS 13.1. There is currently no information about the price of the device. For security, it will have an under-display fingerprint scanner. Other reports suggest that the Reno 10 Pro will have the Dimensity 8200 chipset, while the Reno 10 may have the Snapdragon 7 series chipset.
